From Start to Finish
Our Process
ENVISION
If you are interested in working with us, an initial meeting is set up at one of our offices. This meeting includes Ryan, owner and master carpenter of R. Smith Construction, Inc., as well as our in-house draftsman, Derek. We listen to the potential clients wants/needs, go through a general questionnaire to gain more information on the type of home the clients are interested in, and ask relevant questions. From there, a small deposit is taken for drafting fees and Derek gets to work designing a floor plan.

DESIGN
During the design phase, several meetings are held until the plan is to the clients’ wishes. During the later drafting stages, our Andersen window representative and Wisconsin Building Supply representative join the design meetings to help finalize window and door selections/placements, etc. Our designer, Tracy, is an integral part of the design meetings as well.

BUILD
While construction is underway, clients can expect to see all hands on deck. We have framing crews and finish crews composed of skilled carpenters and laborers. Ryan works alongside the crews every day. Meetings are held with the homeowners on site, as needed, for electrical walk-throughs, product selections, design decisions, etc.

When the final finishing touch has been completed, it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy your new space. We understand that building a new home is a major investment in time and money, and our goal is to create beautiful and functional spaces our clients will enjoy and create memories in for a lifetime.
